Iron Man 2 a little closer now

Now that we know Jon Favreau is officially coming back to direct some 'Iron Man 2' they can now get those butts out there shooting. Variety today announced that screenwriter Justin Theroux is now on board to write the sequel.

Theroux is best know for penning 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle' ( I will not hold this against him), 'Six Feet Under' and the upcoming Robert Downey Jr. film 'Tropic Thunder', of which he's also an executive producer.

Hancock still doing it

I was really one of those folks who after seeing the first clip of this flix at the theater was like blah. After seeing the movie I was really into it as most Americans who saw it were and the numbers don't lie.

I have been a fan of IMAX since I saw my first underwater flix there. In recent years they have been showing a lot of the movies I enjoy watching. No other picture this summer has me more excited than The Dark Knight. Knowing that it will be shown in my favorite format is just more gravy. So get you  booty out there and buy your tix today they will be all gone soon.

Warmachine and Iron Man 2

Iron Man's armored homeboy, War Machine will have a major role in Iron Man 2, says actor Terrance Howard. Filming for the Iron Man sequel starts next March, in the hopes of meeting the film's release date, set for April 2010, Howard told Military.com. But how does Howard's character, Jim Rhodes, become War Machine in the next movie? In the comics, he gets his chance after Tony Stark jumps into the bottle with alcholisim and his best friend Jim Rhodes take up his fight as the armored brotha we all love but director Jon Favreau says he may go different route than the comics.

Favreau has said many time that he would like to go into the "Demon in a Bottle" storyline, in which Tony Stark's alcoholism sidelines him and Rhodes has to take over. Hancock the new super hero movie starring Will Smith as a drunken hero may make him rethink this.

Kung Fu Panda crushes all

The results are in for the top grossing movies of the weekend and, in its debut weekend, Jack Black's Kung Fu Panda kicked some booty on its way to the top.

Bringing  in an impressive $60M, the star-studded cast which includes everyone from Angelina Jolie to Seth Rogen to Dustin Hoffman, crushed all in its way.

Transformers II - gets name

OK all you out there having a fit like lil babies waiting on Transformers 2 to come out. The movie may have just gone into production so you will have to wait a lil longer still but we do have a name for the flix "Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen."

More Spirit

More Spirit poster and pix. I am now getting on the bandwagon and I am really excited about this one. Will Eisner's The Spirit opens to theaters on January 16th, 2009.Oh and don't get it twisted Eva and Scarlett look damn good :)
