Will the real Wonder Woman please stand up

Well after many years of searching Hollywood now has a woman to play our favorite DC Heroine. Megan Gale makes her debut as the Princess in 2010 and I can't wait. Damn they better not mess this up.

Megan Gale confirmed that she had been cast as Wonder Woman in George Miller's Justice League of America. She has now told the Sydney Morning Herald that as excited as she is about the film, she was grateful for the film's delay.

"We were due to go into production in February, which freaked me out a bit ... the strike has given me more time to prepare," Gale said.

Justice League of America brings DC Comic's greatest heroes together for the first time on the big screen. Superman, Batman, the Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter will all band together to save the Earth. Justice League of America is tentatively scheduled for a 2010 release.

Wii still big seller

TOKYO (Reuters) - Nintendo Co Ltd's (7974.OS) Wii game console outsold Sony Corp's (6758.T) PlayStation 3 nearly 4-to-1 in Japan in February as Wii software titles dominated the best seller list, a game magazine publisher said.

Nintendo sold 331,627 units of the Wii in the four weeks to February 24, compared with 89,131 units of the PS3, Enterbrain said on Thursday.

The Wii's lead on the PS3 appears to be widening: In February, Nintendo's game console outsold Sony's by almost 3-to-1.

Xbox 360 says a big goodbye to HD DVD

Microsoft Co, the Japanese unit of U.S. computer software giant Microsoft Corp, said Tuesday that it will end the production of an external High-Definition DVD player for its Xbox 360 game console.The step follows a recent decision by Toshiba Corp to pull the plug on the HD DVD business by the end of March due to its defeat in the next-generation DVD format war with the Blu-ray camp led by Sony Corp. Microsoft will continue its customer support operations for those who have purchased the add-on player, it said.

Champions Online almost here

My wife knows that I spend too much time online playing City of Heroes. Well I cant say she will be happy with this one but IGN posted a new video of Cryptic Studio's new superhero MMORPG Champions Online due to come out sometime in 2009.

Akira comes alive

One of my favorite anime movies of all time "Akira" is getting the live-action big screen treatment courtesy of Leonardo DiCaprio and Warner Bros.

Ruairi Robinson has been hired to direct what would ideally be a two-part epic. Gary Whitta is writing the adaptation, which DiCaprio will produce via his Appian Way shingle. Andrew Lazar is also producing via his Mad Chance shingle. Jennifer Davisson, who heads up Appian, will also be involved in some producorial capacity.

Xbox 360 Live Users Can Now Share Their Games

Taking online multiplayer console gaming to the next level, Microsoft, architect of the Xbox Live gaming service, announced the formation of a "Creator's Club" that will allow hobbyists and amateur game developers to be able to play and share their games with the 10-million-member strong Xbox Live community. The company has said that all games created by a developer of any level will be up on the Live service to be played, but games will be reviewed for objectionable content and pulled down as and when necessary.

Samuel L. Jackson Talks Nick Fury

By now everyone knows that Mr. Jackson will be Nick Fury in the new Iron Man movie. He confirmed this to MTV recently:

“Well [then] I am indeed Nick Fury,” Jackson finally admitted, officially confirming his role for the first time. “But I don’t know if I’m gonna be in [”Iron Man”] though.”

So you haven’t shot any scenes?

“I can’t tell you that!”

I for one am very happy about this it just fits sooo damn well since the Nick Fury in the Ultimate Universe is based on Mr. Jackson.

'Green Lantern Lives'

Common, the rapper turned actor, still thinks that George Miller's Justice League of America will be ready to begin shooting very soon. Caught up to by JFX Online, Common was asked about the film and his role as John Stewart/Green Lantern.

Common responded "Now that the writers strike is over, the script is going to head back to the writers for a cleanup. God willing, it'll get done. This would be a big role for me."

'NO MORE STAR WARS'

HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN will not take part in any future STAR WARS movies - because the sci-fi franchise stifled his creativity.

The Jumper star played Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the final Star Wars trilogy - but he has vowed never again to work with director George Lucas on big budget sci-fi projects.

He tells New York Daily News, "It wasn't necessarily anything you could feel good about creatively. It's not why you become an actor, to do stuff like that."
