There has been a lot of debate over the PS3's lacking library. It now
seems Sony is finally pulling together quite a list, over 150 titles in
fact. Obvious titles include Grand Turismo 5: Prologue, Disgaea 3,
Killzone 2 and a new Resistance title – You can check the full list
over at Neocrisis.
One interesting note is Metal Gear Solid 4’s inclusion on said list
- which still is constantly rumoured to receive only a timed exclusive
and eventual release on the 360.
Another interesting note is the list's inclusion of several titles
that are definitely NOT exclusive to the PlayStation 3 including Silent
Hill 5, Virtua Fighter 5 and Monster Madness.

Forget everything you know about RPGs when you
play The Witcher. Whereas some games offer up a moral dilemma or two,
The Witcher might as well be some type of grand social experiment where
players have to deal with racism, poverty and even
sexual relations.
Based on the works of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is quite a unique fantasy world that is probably more like things really were in medieval times than the romantic notions we have all come to see in most games and movies. The worlds here are recreated in all their poverty-stricken details, showing you a truly broken society where the poor wither and die in the streets while the rich party and feast in private banquet rooms.
You play Geralt, a former human who underwent a terrible process of ingesting drugs which turned his body into something a little more, and a little less, than human. The story is that more than half of the witcher recruits, found from among the orphans of war, don’t survive the transformation. Witchers that make it to the other side of the trials become professional monster hunters. Monsters in this game are very powerful so that most normal humans don’t stand a chance against even the most mundane of them. But witchers have increased reflexes and special weapons that put them on equal footing, or even at an advantage, to the monster community. So people hire the witchers to eliminate particularly tough monsters, or monsters that infect important areas, like the town cemetery.
After publicly feuding for more than a year, "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema have reached agreement to make J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit," a planned two-film prequel to the blockbuster trilogy.
Jackson, who directed "Rings," will serve as executive producer for two "Hobbit" pictures. They will tell the story of how the young hobbit Bilbo Baggins originally came to possess the nefarious One Ring that Frodo, his adopted son, needed three films to dispose of.
A director for the films has yet to be named. Production is tentatively set to begin in 2009 with a release planned for 2010, and the sequel following in 2011.
Relations between Jackson and New Line soured after "Rings" despite a collective worldwide box office gross of nearly $3 billion. Jackson shepherded Tolkien's Middle-Earth saga to a combined 17 Academy Awards including best picture for 2003's "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King." The trilogy also includes 2002's "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and 2001's "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring."
"I'm very pleased that we've been able to put our differences behind us, so that we may begin a new chapter with our old friends at New Line," Jackson said in a statement. "We are delighted to continue our journey through Middle Earth."
Well my body today finally decided to come back. It has been a LONG 2 weeks being in bed and having my family take care of me but ahhh it feels so good to be healthy again.
Prior to the release of their Fall Xbox 360 firmware update a couple of days ago was that Silver Xbox Live members will not be able to download select new content at all.
Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb's blog said access to free content will now be limited to Gold members for the first seven days of its release. Before the week is up, Silver members will be blocked by a red slash and circle on all new demos, trailers and games.
That means gamers looking for updates will have to put out $49.99 to upgrade from the free Silver Xbox Live accounts.
The Andy and Larry Wachowski directed movie trailer is finale here, and it looks like... well you'll see. You might not like this interpretation, but with there fatefulness to the original I now nominate them to do an update for any cartoon or anime.
